Parque Tepuhueico Chiloé

COASTAL ZONE

Chiloé’s open coast stands out for its unique geography, with steep cliffs sculpted by the sea, fossilized rocks that reveal its ancient past, and Pacific winds that shape windswept forests and white sand dunes. Rivers flowing westward form coastal lagoons where seabirds and forest species converge, offering excellent birdwatching opportunities. Cucao is the gateway to this breathtaking natural landscape

Time Trail

Created by sculptor Marcelo Orellana, known as Chumono, the Muelle del Tiempo (Pier of Time) is the third and southernmost of the Pacific Pier Trilogy, alongside the Muelle de la Luz (Pier of Light) and the Muelle de las Almas (Pier of Souls).
Its symbolism lies in the duality between East—associated with life—and West—linked to death—reflecting the natural orientation of settlements in Chiloé.
While the Muelle de las Almas represents the passage to the afterlife, the Muelle del Tiempo embodies the longing for more time to close life’s cycles with wisdom.
Set in a majestic landscape, it invites reflection on the fleeting nature of time and the importance of living with fullness and gratitude.

Stations: 15.

Distance: 2 km.

Time: 30 to 40 minutes.

Difficulty: Easy.
